Do you ever find yourself battling your attitude?

Many people have issues with maintaining a proper attitude. In this article, we are going to take a closer look at how our position affects us.

What are your plans for taking care of your health? There is going to be a need to do something that you do not find pleasant.

The attitude with which you approach these things is going to be a Hugh factor in the success you have.

This factor is real for any other area of life when we think of doing something; it does not matter what that something is.

What matters is if we can see that it is possible to accomplish getting it done.

That is my definition of a “Can-Do Attitude.” It knows that you can do it! Especially when the task at hand is enormous or is something that has been very challenging for a long time.

It is not difficult to stay with the status-quote and go through life without being challenged in any way.

There are other situations that we find ourselves in the opposite predicament, and it seems like the problem is much larger than we can handle.

That is when the “Can-Do” part of your attitude is going kick into gear. You have to train your thinking to look for the solution and not focus on the issue at hand.

Sometimes it takes extra effort to push through the obstacles that are in the way, or just changing your perspective a little, and another solution will present itself.

Synonyms – Can DO Attitude

Attitude: defined as a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person’s behavior.

Whether the thinking is positive or negative, that definition applies to someone’s view and how they are going to approach a problem, it can go either way!

It depends on how the individual perceives the issue at hand, and how they decide to deal with it in their minds, is what is going to determine the way they look at things.

Peoples approach to doing a necessary task when it is not liked. That is so important to recognize; we are better at seeing this in other people and not so good at seeing it in ourselves.

Everyone has different levels of this self-inspection capabilities, but we can all choose to focus on learning how to do this better.

Can Do Attitude

This ability will enable us to use the synonyms of what it means to have the Can-Do Attitude naturally flowing up from within ourselves.

The spirit of the heart when it has the right attitude will keep our point of view in the proper perspective to get the job done.

Recently this came to mind when teaching my son how to work on a task. In cleaning out the filing cabinet, there was a rather large pile of papers with personal information that needed to be shredded.

While he was working on getting the task of shredding the papers done, he keeps acting like it was the hardest thing in the world to do.

That is to be expected because he is eight years old, but when his vision of the task changed and he could see the end in sight his whole attitude changed and he started having fun doing the job.

Importance of Positive Attitude Work

The lesson for my son is a small one, but it is touching on something of a more significant issue.

That more significant issue is a work ethic and the importance of working on having a positive attitude about getting things done correctly.

In psychology, people’s attitude is a psychological construct; we tend to speak about it like it is separate from the person, but it is very much part of who that person is.

People’s attitude is complex and acquired through their experiences, the environment that they are around will influence how their future position will develop.

Attitude is something that the individual can work on no matter how the outside environment is influencing them.

Attitude changes your Outlook

While it is preferred to have a supportive environment to nurture a positive attitude, people can choose not to allow adverse environments to drag them down.

The battle is not going to be easy for those faced with adverse environments, and it is going to require additional tools to cope with the negative pull.

An excellent example of this type of battle is how we allow society to affect our eating habits. When we are in a restaurant, it is harder to make the right choices because of the expectations of the surrounding people.

That is something that a person has to equip themselves to deal with making the right choice. First, they are going to need to identify the issue and then find a solution that will work for them and get along with the other people they are around.

Remember that these types of works are on the individual and others are not going to be aware of the issue unless you share it with them. Some will be supportive and others not supportive at all.

That is a very narcissistic view of the world and is not going to help people to get a better attitude if they are expecting the thing to go right for them.

Better to expect everything to go wrong and know that you are going to have to work out some problems every day.

Being adequately equipped to handle the adversities in life are going to allow you to maintain the right attitude even when things do not go your way!

Having a quiet time in the mornings and meditating on some good thoughts and good advice can be very beneficial to someone as they face the obstacles in their lives.

Better to take the famous quotes and paraphrase them in your own words. That will allow you to make it your own.

Conclusion

Embrace the things in life that cause you problems and look at everything as an opportunity for learning and your attitude is going to be better.

When you master maintaining the right attitude then lives curve balls do not bother you as much. You are going to have to work out issues daily.

Knowing that you are going to have to address problems and teaching yourself to smile at them, will equip you for the trials in life.

  2. I like to refer to obstacles and setbacks as a means to a heroic recovery, a comeback. The more challenges we face, whether they’re in our control or not, ultimately make us stronger individuals, increasing confidence in what we can deal with, and allow ourselves to adopt such positive attitudes. 

    It’s all about how we approach a situation. We can go one of two ways. Either cower at the workload or obstacle in front of us or embrace it and say ‘I got this.’ It’s our choice, but those who think positive will often and always win the day.

Can do attitude is a good one when one applies it or knows how to apply it in their lives and this will help so much for the person to be off his predicaments and unfavourable circumstances. You will be a master of your attitudes and knows how to act right.

  5. The can-do attitude is one thing that I believe many people forget. Many people often forget to have confidence in themselves which is often the reason they may fail more times than they really have to. My weight is a generally healthy size but it didn’t always use to be. I used to be over 310 pounds! OUCH! That is huge! 

    The difference with me though is that I had the confidence in myself to make a change. I needed to first admit I had a problem eating, then I had to take the initiative to fix it. It was a problem. Needed to fix my health, my life. Not only does it apply to weight loss, but this same exact motive can be applied to almost every trial and tribulation you come across in the world. 

    You have to overcome the barrier that says, “I CANT or IT WON’T HAPPEN or IT ISNT THE SAME FOR ME! This mentality is hard to get past sometimes but the reality is that if you give up, you will lose. Always. You need to believe in yourself with EVERYTHING you do and say I CAN DO THIS! Without the can-do attitude, you are the barrier to your own defeat. It doesn’t have to be that way! 

    At the end of the day, you will have higher self-esteem about yourself, you will be happier, and you will look better to others as well as to yourself if you drown yourself in confidence. People will start to look at you as someone of authority than one of the followers that enjoy the crowd. 

    THATS GOOD! If I had to ask one question, it would be this. why do so many people act like things are not a problem and then complain about finding a solution to the same problem that they say doesn’t exist? Example: (I want to lose weight but I don’t think a few potatoes are going t hurt me very badly. [eats potatoes exclusively]. I know a few people like that.

      Helping others who share similar challenges is another way to get your mind off of yourself and make a real difference in the world.

      The issue you mention about someone complaining about the things that they are doing is no more than plan denial on their part. If they cannot be honest with themselves how are they going to address the issue?

      Sometimes people are not aware of this either; it can be easy for a close friend to see and still very hard for an individual to see for themselves.

         

  6. My definition of a can do attitude is when someone has enough belief in himself to face any challenge head on. This type of attitude that helps one pull through the rough patches of life. I really like that you say we can take responsibility of our attitude because most people try to shy away from this. I always cling to every positive event that happens in my life because life is full of disappointments and we’ll be lost if we dwell on them.

  7. Thank you for this amazing post, find it really helpful and nice and this to me is the best post I have stumbled on today, I do have some problems with my attitude and I was able to solve that some few months ago after meeting a life coach. I think this will help me improve a lot.
