Right from the minute we chew and the salivary enzymes get mixed with the food to the points where it gets to the stomach and other enzymes such as pepsin mixes with the food. However, there are some acidic digestive enzymes that could cause ulcer when they don’t have any food substance to act on

    After reading your article, I came to know about enzymes, activities of different types of enzymes, how we can get those and from where etc. We have been listening that, “Enzymes are good for digestions” but no one discussed so deeply. So, there come another ‘Thanks’.

The ways to get the enzymes that we need is through a healthy diet, and all the nutrients that are required to produce the digestive enzymes in the body will be there. But like with vitamins and minerals if we are lacking then the supplement makes up the difference.  

  3. This article is for me. I have been battling indigestion, acid stomach and discomfort after eating for a while now. I also have to eat regularly or else my stomach hurts. I have been to a doctor and gotten antacids but they worked as long as I took them but when the prescription was done, I went back into the discomfort. Seems like I need to try to supplement my diet with enzymes.  This is a good explanation of how the fit in to the body’s health. Thank you for the information.

  5. I had the exact problem you mention, a couple of years ago I had zero energy. Literally, I would go out for about 5 minutes and come back and collapse on the couch. Someone recommended to me that I should get my vitamin B12, D and iron levels checked. 

    My B12 was terribly low. I started taking supplements, and thankfully, I am a different person now! I always thought it was because I wasn’t eating enough food which has B12 in but perhaps my body was just struggling to digest it properly.
